Adult Leader Training

Training WILL make you a better young men's leader, even if your calling isn't strictly scouting related. The courses are fun, energizing, inspiring, motivating and sure to give both you and those you serve more joy from your times together. Even parents and committee members will benefit. The cost for some courses is zero and just covers costs for others.

Saturday February 21 learn to be a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity, or Venture leader for FREE. Then after you're all jazzed up about your leadership potential, maybe participate in a SABBATH OBSERVANT Outdoor Skills training March 6-7. To register:

If those dates don't work for you, another opportunity to take these courses comes March 14, but the cost is $10. Additional courses offered at this time include Den Chief, Committee Member, and Charter Organization Rep courses. If you've completed all the basics, then you're ready for Adult Scout Leader College, also known as Wood Badge. This is a leadership course framed around scouting and is of equal or better quality than provided at West Point and major corporations. It will benefit any aspect of your life where you are leader or team member. This is the last year we are guaranteed to be offered Sabbath Observant Wood Badge courses and we hope to show enough demand that they continued to be offered. There are several dates. Our stake's goal is for every boy to have trained leaders and every leader to take at least the next step up in their training. I hope you, like me, consider these opportunities to be trained a not-to-be-missed blessing to both us and the future leaders of the Lord's church.
