If you need it you'll be so glad you have it. I triple-checked to be sure it was now REQUIRED for unit led high adventure activities, and the answer was yes. The phrasing used was adult leaders certified for Wilderness First Aid will "mitigate both the risk and (your) liability". From a positive perspective, we all want to be prepared when an accident happens and this is an opportunity to be more prepared. The courses available are 3 day, so go far beyond emergency uses for duct tape. Here is info on available course details. Because this is a new requirement, the courses may fill fast.

Official requirements are:
At least one member of each crew, preferably two or more,
must be currently trained in Wilderness First Aid Basic (or
